Terms of Business

Version 1.0 — Effective 13 June 2026

These Terms of Business ("Terms") govern your use of the vivisor website and marketplace (the "Services") as a member of the public. By browsing, searching, contacting an advisor or registering an account, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.

Paid subscribers (advisors and providers) are additionally bound by the Subscriber Agreement. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Subscriber Agreement, the Subscriber Agreement governs the paid relationship.

1. About vivisor

vivisor is an independent financial advice marketplace and introduction platform for regulated financial advisors and product providers operating in Ireland. We are not a financial advisor, broker, intermediary, insurer or product provider. We:

  • do not give financial advice;
  • do not recommend any specific advisor, product or course of action; and
  • are not responsible for the advice, services, products, conduct or omissions of any third-party advisor or provider listed on the Services.

You engage any advisor or provider you find through vivisor directly and on their own terms. vivisor is not a party to that engagement.

Advisors and providers pay subscription fees to list on vivisor. Payment does not influence search rankings, verification status, reviews or editorial content.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Services.

3. What you can use the Services for

You may use the Services to:

  • search and view advisor and provider listings;
  • send enquiries to advisors;
  • request introductory meetings or calls;
  • create a free consumer account to manage your enquiries and shortlist; and
  • submit a review after you have genuinely engaged an advisor through vivisor.

4. Accuracy & Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • provide accurate information about yourself when submitting enquiries or creating an account;
  • not impersonate anyone else;
  • not use the Services to send spam, abusive, threatening, defamatory, fraudulent or unlawful content;
  • not scrape, copy, resell or otherwise extract vivisor's marketplace data or advisor profiles;
  • not attempt to circumvent the enquiry flow to harvest advisor contact details for marketing purposes; and
  • not interfere with the security or operation of the Services.

5. Reviews

Reviews may only be posted by people who have genuinely engaged an advisor introduced through vivisor.

We operate a review verification process before publishing reviews. We may remove reviews that we reasonably believe are fraudulent, paid-for, defamatory, misleading, unlawful or otherwise in breach of our review policy. Otherwise, reviews — including critical ones — remain on the advisor's profile.

By submitting a review or other content to vivisor, you grant vivisor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish and display that content for the purpose of operating, improving and promoting the Services.

6. No Financial Advice & No Liability for Advisor Conduct

Nothing on the Services constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice. Listings, badges, ratings and editorial content are provided for information only and should not be relied upon as a recommendation.

You acknowledge that:

  • vivisor does not assess the suitability of any advisor or product for your personal circumstances.
  • You are responsible for carrying out your own due diligence before engaging an advisor, including independently checking their Central Bank of Ireland authorisation, qualifications, fees and terms.
  • Any contract for advisory services is between you and the advisor. vivisor is not a party to that contract.
  • vivisor is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising out of advice given, products sold, services performed, or any act or omission by any third-party advisor or provider you engage through the Services.

7. Verification & Badges

vivisor performs reasonable checks of advisor information at the point of listing and on a periodic basis (for example, Central Bank of Ireland register checks and qualification verification).

The "Verified" badge reflects the outcome of checks carried out by vivisor at a particular point in time only. It is not a guarantee of an advisor's current regulatory status, competence, ethics, financial standing or ongoing compliance. You remain responsible for carrying out your own checks before engaging any advisor.

8. Intellectual Property

The vivisor name, logo, website, software, design, copy and underlying marketplace database are owned by vivisor and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Advisor and provider content displayed on listings remains the property of the relevant advisor or provider and is licensed to vivisor for display.

You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, republish, distribute or create derivative works from any content on the Services without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

9. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, applicable law, or where necessary to protect the safety, security or integrity of the Services.

We may also remove any user-generated content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law:

  • We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
  • Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services is limited to €100, or the fees you have paid vivisor during the 12 months before the claim arose (whichever is greater, and €0 for users who have not paid vivisor any fees).
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data.
  • We are not liable for any loss arising from advice, products or services provided by any third-party advisor or provider.

We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We may suspend, withdraw or modify the Services at any time for maintenance, operational, security or business reasons.

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control.

11. Changes

We may amend these Terms from time to time.

Where changes are material, we will highlight them on the website and, where reasonably practicable, notify registered users by email at least 30 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

The Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services.
